"GreenNetwork Roma Seven International Rugby Sevens 2010" promises to be more exciting than ever! The world best Rugby seven teams are back in Rome to challenge "gli Azzuri" to conquer the Roma Seven Cup. After the amazing tournament of June 2009 – played by the best and most renowned teams in the Rugby Seven circuit – this year the challenge is launched to the famous Roma Seven Invitation team, who has to defend the title.
The team to beat is Roma Seven Invitation, 2009 Champions, who will count on player such as the All Blacks7 Capt. DJ Forbes, Tomasi Cama, Solomon King, Fritz Lee, Toby Arnold, Sherwin Stowers, Tim Nainai Williams, Nafi Tuitavake e Justin Wilson, all of them All Blacks7 Official. At Roma Seven 2010 will also be the best elite teams of rugby circuit: for the first time in Rome the Australia 7, third power in the world rugby's ranking, France7, The Italian National Team and the French Froggies Superclub; once again the Fiji Uprising Beach Resort, a real surprise of last year, the strong Spanish National team and the invitational club of Atlantis -Seven Kings representing the American selection; the exclusive team of Templars7, Marauders and Mel's Exiles with Serevi, the real master of Rugby7. The 2008 Champions, the British Army team, with its extraordinary players from Fiji, over the British team of Rendigenians; Mel's Exiles, with Waisale Serevi, will count in their lines a selection of Welsh and Fijians players; Argentine will be represented by Clandestinos-Rosario. Once again at the "Stadio dei Marmi", after the great performance of 2009, the Fijians Superclub of Uprising and the Usa champions of Atlantis-Seven Kings.
As well as last year, it will be held the veteran tournament (over 35). Among the teams most expected Namau, Lazio Old and the Moscow Lads team.

The challenge is at the holders of Roma Seven Cup 2009: Roma Seven Invitation team, that will count again in their lines All Blacks7 players to defend the cup. This year at Roma Seven are expected: the Captain of All Blacks7 Dj Forbes (Best IRB 7 player 2008) besides Salomon King, Tomasi Cama, Sherwin Stowers, Justin Wilson, Fritz Lee, Toby Arnold, Tim Nainai Williams, Nafi Tuitavake.
The most famous invitational team in Italy: the Seven Kings ( 2002 / 2005 finalist) who had brought in 2008 the world icon of 7, Waisale Serevi, and in 2009 the Golden Lions of South Africa, this year will field the extraordinary American selection of Atlantis: Seven Kings - Atlantis.
The great news is first participation of Australian 7 National, a real power in rugby’s world: this will increase the prestige of the tournament!
From Argentine the Clandestinos- Rosario, a selection of best argentine players from italian, french, english and spanish leagues.
From Europe the most prestigious teams from the "Old Continent" such as the British Army ARU team, winners of the Roma Seven Cup 2008 with its Fijians players; Mel’s Exiles from Galles, who count amongst their line-up several acrobatic Fijians besides Waisale Serevi and the Maurauders, winners of the Amsterdam Seven 2004.
From Europe are also expected the beloved Italian National Team, (2004 champions); the French National team and the amazing Froggies club magnificent example of exciting French Rugby.
In addition to the Italian National Team, champions of the Roma Seven Cup 2004, Rugby Capitolina, who has always participated in past editions.
Between teams of "Roma Seven Ladies Cup", won in 2009 by Red&Blu Samurai’s Ladies, the strong selection of New Zealand Aotearoa Maori: the "All Blacks Ladies" winners in many international tournaments. The Roma Seven Ladies Cup, considered the high value of teams, starts to become a must in world tournaments.

The "Roma Seven International Rugby Sevens Tournament", the "Roma Seven Ladies" and the "Vets Tournament" (over 35), will be held on Friday, June 4th and Saturday June 5th, 2010. On Thursday afternoon, June 3rd the event starts with the Welcome Party. Is expected the participation of the best Rugby Seven squads worldwide, 16 teams, in 4 pools. Each will compete for the Roma Seven 2010 to steal the title currently held by the Roma Seven Invitation.
The entrance to the 1st day of the event on Friday 4th June is free. The cost of the entrance for the whole day action on Saturday, 5th of June costs 10 €, with the tickets available on-line throughout Lis Ticket as well as at the Stadium box office at "Stadio dei Marmi", Via Costantino Nigra, Rome.
"Roma Seven International Sevens" will start on Friday, 4th June at 9.00 a.m. with the qualifying rounds matches. The matches of this eliminatory stage will last 14 minutes each (7 minutes time for each period) and will take place in the central field until 8 p.m.
On Saturday 5th of June will take place the second edition of tournament over 35 "Memorial Renato Speziali" , the "Roma Seven Ladies Tournament" and the final rounds of the "Roma Seven International Rugby Sevens 2010". The matches are scheduled to start at 09.30 a.m. and will continue till an extraordinary night with the semi-final and final match. After the quarter and semi – finals, the third team of each round will compete for the "Seven Kings Plate" with matches of two periods of 10 minutes each. The "Gran final" for the "Roma Seven Cup 2010" is scheduled at 11.30 p.m.
After the award celebration for the "Roma Seven International Rugby Seven 2010", the "Seven Kings Plate 2010", the "Roma Seven Ladies Tournament 2010" and the "Memorial Renato Speziali", the fabulous Roma Seven Party begins, with the special presence of the best DJs and the most beautiful Italian women. There will also be a restaurant/café service with chill-out music available throughout the entire tournament until late-night hours.
