“Roma Seven International Rugby Sevens 2011” promises to be more exciting than ever! The world best Rugby Seven teams are back in Rome to challenge in the conquest of 10th Roma Seven Cup. After the amazing tournament of June 2010 – played by the best and most renowned teams in the Rugby Seven circuit – this year the challenge is launched to the famous Roma Seven Invitation team, finalist of 2010.
The team to beat is Roma Seven Invitation, who will count on player such as the All Blacks7 Capt. DJ Forbes, Tomasi Cama & Solomon King, all of them All Blacks7 Official. At Roma Seven 2011 will also be the best elite teams of rugby circuit: from the very strong Kenya National 7, for the first time in Rome, to the Italian National 7, France National 7 and Superclub calls of Froggies.
Great news is the strong participation of the Georgia National 7, finally present at Roma Seven, not forgetting the arrival of the Dutch National 7. A great Show!
The Roma Seven Ladies Tournament will see debut on his field of Brazil National 7 (4th place Women's IRB Rugby Sevens World Cup 2009 in Dubai) and the 'Holland National 7 (European Chapmions 2010) as well as players of the caliber of : Amida Marsh and Kendra Cocksledge (both players of the Black Ferns); Mere Becker (former Kiwi Ferns) and Lavinia Gauld, probably the best player in the world of Rugby 7. Probably the best tournament in the world!
The International tournament over 35 is now at 5th edition. Among the teams most expected to be reported Wanderland International RFC with Allan Bateman (ex British Lions) and Des Tuiavii (ex Samoa at the IRB World Cup player of 2003), in addition to the team of Namau and the team of Very Original Rugby Roma Old (both winners of Tournament 2010 ex-aequo), Lazio, Red & Blue Veterans, Fiamme Oro Old and the team of Italian lawyers.

From Argentine the Clandestinos Invitacion Union Entrerriana Rugby, a selection of best argentine players from italian, french, english and spanish leagues.
A Very fierce Italy National 7 will take the field led by Marco De Rossi and the Team Manager Orazio Arancio.
From Europe the best national rugby seven to take part in the tournament : first will be in Rome the French National 7, winner of Plate Roma Seven 2010; we are also happy to announce the Georgia National 7, from a country with great tradition in rugby 7; also The Netherlands National 7 (added to the Grand Prix circuit of FIRA) and the strong Superclub invitation of Froggies (semifinalist in 2005 and 2006 editions): a magnificent example of French sparkling rugby.
Some of the best representatives of the circuit IRB - International Rugby Board - and of the circuit Grand Prix FIRA will give show at the Roma Seven 2011!
In addition to the Italian National Team, champions of the Roma Seven Cup 2004, the Rugby Capitolina, who has always participated in past editions, as well as the winner of the Rome Seven 2002, the Rugby Roma. Do not forget the prestigious participation of the selection of Fiamme Oro.

The “Roma Seven International Rugby Sevens Tournament”, the “Roma Seven Ladies Tournament” and the “Vets Tournament” (over 35), will be held on Friday, June 3rd and Saturday June 4th, 2011. On Thursday afternoon, June 2nd the event starts with the Welcome Party. The Tournament "Roma Seven International Rugby Sevens" provides for the participation of the best teams in the world scene of the Rugby Sevens, which will attempt to win the coveted Roma Seven Cup 2011.
The entrance to the 1st day of the event on Friday 3rd June is free. The cost of the entrance for the whole day action on Saturday, 4th of June costs €10, with the tickets available on-line throughout Lis Ticket as well as at the Stadium box office at “Stadio dei Marmi”, Via Costantino Nigra, Rome.
“Roma Seven International Sevens” will start on Friday, 3rd June at 9.00 a.m. with the qualifying rounds matches. The matches of this eliminatory stage will last 14 minutes each (7 minutes time for each period) and will take place in the central field until 8 p.m.
On Saturday 4th of June will take place the second edition of tournament over 35 “Memorial Renato Speziali” , the “Roma Seven Ladies Tournament” and the final rounds of the “Roma Seven International Rugby Sevens 2011”. The matches are scheduled to start at 09.30 a.m. and will continue till an extraordinary night with the semi-final and final match. After the quarter and semi – finals, the third team of each round will compete for the “Seven Kings Plate” with matches of two periods of 10 minutes each. The “Gran final” for the “Roma Seven Cup 2011” is scheduled at 11.30 p.m.
After the award celebration for the “Roma Seven International Rugby Seven 2010”, the “Seven Kings Plate 2010”, the “Roma Seven Ladies Tournament 2010” and the “Memorial Renato Speziali”, the fabulous Roma Seven Party begins, with the special presence of the best DJs and the most beautiful Italian women. There will also be a restaurant/café service with chill-out music available throughout the entire tournament until late-night hours.
