After the great success of the 6 nations Tournament, Rom the Seven Kings of Rome has the pleasure of hosting the 1st International Rugby Seven's Tournament Roma Seven.
"Roma Seven" è stato concepito per accendere l'entusiasmo di Roma e dei romani verso il Rugby a Sette, sport di facile presa sul pubblico e di impatto altamente spettacolare, inserendo la manifestazione in una cornice di mondanità.
The idea behind the organisation of the Rugby Seven was that of getting Rome and Romans excited about this kind of rugby which, while being easy to understand, is highly spectacular and will, on this occasion, be held in the framework of many interesting social events.
L'evento si terrà il 1° giugno 2002 nella splendida sede della URC (Unione Rugby Capitolina) in via Flaminia 864 e prevede la partecipazione di 12 squadre - divise in 4 gironi composti da 3 squadre ciascuno - invitate a contendersi la Roma Seven Cup.
The tournament, which is planned for 1st June 2002 in the splendid setting of the URC (Unione Rugby Capitolina) in via Flaminia 864, will see twelve teams "strictly by invitation only", divided into 4 divisions of 3 teams each competing for the Roma Seven Cup.

The Seven Kings of Rome is a SUPERCLUB set up in 1995 with the aim of bringing together the best Rugby Seven specialists to take part in and organise tournaments at the highest levels.
La nostra prima apparizione è avvenuta al Torneo "Heineken Amsterdam Rugby Seven" del 1995. Partiti come teste di serie n° 60 (su 60 partecipanti) abbiamo vinto il girone eliminatorio, il secondo girone e ci siamo arresi solo nei quarti finale di fronte ai White Hart Marauders squadra che presentava Dallaglio, Charvet ed altri 5 internazionali anglosassoni.
Our first participation was in the Heineken Amsterdam Rugby Seven event in 1995. As division leader n. 60 (of the 60 participating teams) we won the eliminatory round, the second round and only gave in at the quarter finals against the White Hart Maranders, a team which had Dallaglio, Charvet and another 5 British international players.
La formazione titolare (Saetti, Montalto, Parladori, Bernardi, Caranci, Barba e Salvati) vedeva ben 4 azzurri su sette giocatori.

Tornati in Italia abbiamo partecipato al Torneo di Rugby a Sette organizzato dal Cus Roma RUGBY vincendolo. La nostra partecipazione al torneo di Amsterdam è poi proseguita negli anni diventando l'espressione italiana al torneo di più alto livello.
On our return to Rome we competed in the tournament organised by the CUS Roma Rugby which we won and we continued to take part in this in successive years as it went on to become the highest expression of Italian tournaments.
